Will the congress content be delivered virtually?
The congress will have five of the eight parallel sessions delivered virtually each day. You can view the programme to see the streamed sessions and the virtual registration rates are listed on our registration page.

I have registered online but not yet received my confirmation.
It can take up to 5 days for the Congress Secretariat to process your registration and email you your confirmation and invoice. If you have not heard back from them after 5 days, please telephone +44 (0)131 336 4203 or email cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk.

How do I view the programme online?
The programme will be updated on the congress website as it is confirmed.  For updates please see the Programme page.

How do I get to the congress?
Details on how to travel to the congress are available on the ‘Travel Directions’ page of this website.

What is the congress language?
The conference language is English, however there will be translation of all sessions in the Pentland Hall in French, Spanish and Mandarin available both in person and virtually. The translation has been sponsored by our Premier Supporter, Smile Train.

Is the congress accredited?
Yes, the congress has been accredited by the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons for 36.5 points, each day is valid for 7.5 CME points.

When is the early registration deadline?
The Early-bird registration deadline was Friday 13th May.

Do I have to pay by credit card online or can I be invoiced?
We request that all registrations are paid for online however if this is not possible please contact us at cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk.

Can I pay in my local currency?
All payments must be made in UK Pounds (£) to ensure that the full amount is received.

Will I be charged for my payment?
If payment is made by bank transfer we ask that you pay all bank charges. Alternatively, we can accept payment by credit card where there are no additional fees for delegates.

Can I pay by American Express?
We can only accept card payments by VISA, VISA Debit, Delta and MasterCard.

Can I get a receipt for my payment to attend the congress?
Receipts will be issued electronically via email along with your confirmation email and this will be the only form of receipt.

How can I receive an invitation letter to the congress for my VISA application?
We are able to issue an invitation letter once we have received your completed registration and payment.  Please make this request in the notes section at the end of the online registration process.

Validity of Passports
It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is valid for travel and we recommend that you check with your local Embassy.  Please note that some countries require your passport to be valid for up to 3 months from the date of return.

Insurance

We recommend that delegates take out travel insurance for their trip to Edinburgh, please note that some insurance companies also provide Covid-19 cover.

Would I still be able to register if I arrive late at the congress?
Yes, our registration desk is open every day throughout the event, however we recommend pre-registration to guarantee your attendance at social events.  Please note that the on-site fees are more expensive.

I received the following error message when trying to complete the payment on the registration site:
Card type not selected: Please check that you have ticked the card payment button positioned to the left of the card details section. Please note that this means we have not received your registration.
Declined: Unfortunately, this message suggests that your credit card provider is blocking payment. Please contact your bank directly to resolve this issue. Please note that this means we have not received your registration.
