Register for Cleft 2022

We are planning for Cleft 2022 to be primarily a face to face meeting in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, Scotland.  We very much hope that colleagues from around the world can participate in person, meet old and new friends, network and have fun.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic however, we recognise that attending physically may not be possible for everyone, so we are also considering a virtual element to the congress, as well as offering on demand content after the congress.

If you wish to make a group booking, please contact us directly at cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk. For every 10 registrations booked as part of a group booking, one complimentary registration will be provided. Please be aware that group bookings are available for in-person attendance only.

Terms & Conditions

Payment of Registration Fees
Full payment must be made by credit/debit card at the time of registering.

Cards accepted are VISA, Visa Debit and MasterCard, unfortunately we cannot accept American Express or Maestro.

Full payment must be received in full prior to the congress. If you register at the early registration rate, payment must be received in full by the Early Registration deadline. If payment is not received at this time, your registration rate will automatically be changed to standard registration and the higher fee will be due.

On receipt of your registration form, a confirmation email and receipt will be sent to you by the congress organisers. If you have not received this within 5 working days of registering, please contact the congress organisers by emailing cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk.

STANDARD CANCELLATION TERMS

All alterations or cancellations to your registration must be made in writing and will be acknowledged by email. Notification should be sent to cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk

An administration charge of £50.00 will be made to any participant cancelling before 30 May 2022. Cancellations received after 30 May 2022 will be required to pay a full registration fee. However, if you are unable to attend, substitutes are welcome at no additional cost.

By submitting your registration you agree to the terms of the cancellation policy.

COVID CANCELLATION TERMS

Conditions that apply to cancellations, substitutions and rescheduling of the Congress due to COVID-19 are listed below.

All other cancellations will be subject to the standard cancellation policy.

Cancellation of the face-to-face event

If the face-to-face Congress has to be cancelled as a result of an outbreak of COVID-19 restricting travel to, or circulation within Edinburgh, Scotland, Cleft 2022 will hold a virtual Congress and all delegates will be transferred to the virtual event. All ancillary costs (cancelled flights etc) will not be the responsibility of Cleft 2022.

Registration changes

Delegates who are unable to attend the Congress due to their location in a declared COVID-19 hot spot will be automatically transferred to become virtual delegates. It is the responsibility of the individual to contact the conference organisers (in writing) if they are affected by a local lock-down, no refund will be applicable to no shows.

Substitutions

Substitutions are allowed for delegates. Please notify the Cleft 2022 secretariat in writing if substitutions are required.

Substituting a presenting author with an alternative person (one of your co-authors only) is acceptable and should be notified to cleft2022@in-conference.org.uk. Note that the name and order of the authors will not be changed in the congress programme and proceedings.

No Shows will NOT be refunded.

ACCOMMODATION 

Please thoroughly check the cancellation policy with your selected hotel prior to booking.

We recommend that all attendees consider travel insurance.

Liability
By no means shall Cleft 2022 be held liable, either directly or indirectly, for any problematic issue that may occur within the framework of the congress and its organisation, not only with respect to the organisers but also with respect to third parties (airline companies, hotels, transportation, taxis, etc.) while in the performance of duties or services even indirectly related to the congress.

This contractual liability exemption clause is equally valid in case of an event of force majeure which leads to the disruption and/or the partial or complete cancellation of the congress programme, for reasons not attributable to Cleft 2022. An event of force majeure is defined as an unforeseen and exceptional event – be it climatic, environmental, political or socio-economic – and does not imply any limitation.

Furthermore, the delegate also expressly agrees to totally absolve Cleft 2022 from any responsibility and liability with regard to travel insurance and related costs or claims. It is solely up to the individual to seek out and purchase or otherwise obtain the necessary insurance with regards to his/her travel, etc. and/or to independently issue a claim against any third party that may be responsible for direct or indirect losses or damages caused to or suffered by the delegate en route to and from the congress.

Data Protection Act 1998/2003
The 14th International Congress of Cleft Lip and Palate and Related Craniofacial Anomalies will use your personal data only for purposes connected to this meeting and no details will be passed onto any third parties.

Validity of Passports
It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is valid for travel and we recommend that you check with your local Embassy. Please note that some countries require your passport to be valid for up to 3 months from the date of return.
